Answering Service for Mechanics: Under a bonnet? We'll take the call.
Mechanics, auto electricians and workshops: Call Sure is an answering service that picks up while you're in the pit, takes the customer's name, number and what the car needs, and puts calls through to the front desk when someone's there.
The problem
The phone always rings when your hands are greasy.
Nobody free to answer
A small workshop has everyone on the tools, and the phone rings out.
Customers ring around
Someone who needs their car looked at this week will try the next workshop if nobody picks up.
Messages without the details
Which car, what's wrong, which number. A good message saves a round of phone tag.
An example call
What a call sounds like.
Here's how a typical call to your AI receptionist might go. It uses your business name, your greeting and what you've told it about your work.
Southside Auto
Example call
-
Assistant: Thanks for calling Southside Auto, this is Sophie. This call may be recorded. How can I help?
-
Caller: Hi, my car's making a grinding noise when I brake. Can you fit me in this week?
-
Assistant: That's worth getting looked at. Can I take your first name?
-
Caller: It's Dave.
-
Assistant: Thanks Dave. I'll get the workshop to call you back to lock in a time. Is this the best number for that?
-
Caller: Yep, this one's fine.
-
Assistant: Great. What's the car, and which days suit you?
-
Caller: A 2016 Hilux. Thursday or Friday.
-
Assistant: Got it. I'll pass that on and someone will call you back to sort out a time. Thanks Dave.

What matters to you
The features you'll use most.
Messages, summaries and transcripts
Every call lands in your dashboard with a short summary, the full transcript, the message and a one-tap button to call them back.
Call alerts by email
A summary of each call is emailed to you, and anyone on your team you choose, as soon as the call is wrapped up.
Warm transfers you can say no to
Your phone rings once. You hear privately who is calling and why, then take the call or let your assistant take a message.
Declined or missed? Back to your assistant
Say no, miss it or be busy, and the caller goes back to your assistant, which picks up where it left off and takes a message.
Business hours, day by day
Set different hours for each day. Inside them, calls can be put through. Outside them, nobody is rung and messages are taken.
Answers after hours too
Day, night and weekends, so it doubles as your after-hours answering service. Outside your hours, callers leave a proper message, ready for you in the morning.
Briefed like a new starter
Tell it what you do, where you work, what you charge and what to say in an emergency. It answers from what you give it rather than guessing, and changes apply from the next call.
Your team and departments
Add people with their role: office, accounts, the boss. Callers reach the right one by name or by what they need.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Still wondering? Ring 07 3608 1800 and ask our receptionist, or email [email protected].
Can it tell customers if their car is ready?
No. It can't see your job system. It takes the customer's name, number and car details, or puts them through to the workshop during your hours, so someone who knows can answer.
Can it book services?
Not into a booking system. It takes a message with what the customer needs, such as a service or roadworthy and the day that suits them, and you call back to confirm.
Does my own phone still ring?
Your choice. Forward every call and your assistant answers them all. Or forward only when you are busy, don't answer or have no signal: your phone rings first, and your assistant picks up the calls you miss.
What happens after hours?
Your assistant still answers, day and night, weekends included. Outside the hours you set, nobody's phone rings: it takes a proper message instead, ready for you in the morning.
How do minutes work?
Each call counts its length, rounded up to the next minute, including time spent on a transfer. Your plan's minutes reset every month, and extra minutes are charged at your plan's rate. Set a spending limit and you are never charged past it: once it is reached, your assistant keeps answering and taking short messages, but doesn't put calls through for the rest of the billing period. Those calls aren't charged. In the rare case they add up to a lot of minutes, your calls go straight to your first team member during business hours instead, so nobody is left unanswered.
Your next call could be your next job.
