Answering Service for Tradies: Stay on the tools. We'll get the phone.
Plumbers, electricians, builders, cleaners and other home services: Call Sure is a receptionist for tradies that answers while you're on a roof or under a house, finds out what the job is, and puts calls through when you can take them.
The problem
Every call you miss on a job could be a job someone else gets.
Your hands are full
You can't stop mid-job to answer, and a new customer who gets no answer often rings the next name on the list.
Voicemail loses the details
Half a suburb, no number and "call me back". You find out what they wanted after you've rung them twice.
Evenings disappear
Calls after knock-off cut into family time, but ignoring them feels like turning work away.
An example call
What a call sounds like.
Here's how a typical call to your AI receptionist might go. It uses your business name, your greeting and what you've told it about your work.
Northside Electrical
Example call
-
Assistant: Thanks for calling Northside Electrical, this is Mia. This call may be recorded. How can I help?
-
Caller: Hi, half the power points in my kitchen have stopped working, but the switchboard hasn't tripped.
-
Assistant: That's no good. Can I grab your first name?
-
Caller: It's Chris.
-
Assistant: Thanks Chris. Would you like me to see if someone can talk to you now?
-
Caller: Yes please.
-
Assistant: One moment while I see who is available.

What matters to you
The features you'll use most.
Warm transfers you can say no to
Your phone rings once. You hear privately who is calling and why, then take the call or let your assistant take a message.
Declined or missed? Back to your assistant
Say no, miss it or be busy, and the caller goes back to your assistant, which picks up where it left off and takes a message.
Business hours, day by day
Set different hours for each day. Inside them, calls can be put through. Outside them, nobody is rung and messages are taken.
Answers after hours too
Day, night and weekends, so it doubles as your after-hours answering service. Outside your hours, callers leave a proper message, ready for you in the morning.
Messages, summaries and transcripts
Every call lands in your dashboard with a short summary, the full transcript, the message and a one-tap button to call them back.
Call alerts by email
A summary of each call is emailed to you, and anyone on your team you choose, as soon as the call is wrapped up.
Briefed like a new starter
Tell it what you do, where you work, what you charge and what to say in an emergency. It answers from what you give it rather than guessing, and changes apply from the next call.
Your team and departments
Add people with their role: office, accounts, the boss. Callers reach the right one by name or by what they need.
Setting it up
Set up for how you work.
-
1
Forward your mobile
Most tradies run the business from a mobile. Forward it only when you're busy or don't answer, and you still pick up when you can.
-
2
Brief it on your work
Your trade, the suburbs you cover, your call-out fee, and what to tell people in an emergency.
-
3
Add whoever takes calls
You, the office or a second tradie. Each phone is confirmed with a quick code call.
-
4
Set your hours
Calls are only put through when you say. Outside those hours, it's messages for the morning.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Still wondering? Ring 07 3608 1800 and ask our receptionist, or email [email protected].
Can it give quotes or tell people when I can come out?
Only what you tell it. If you give it your call-out fee and standard prices, it can pass those on. It can't see your diary or book jobs, so it takes the caller's details and what they need, and you ring back to quote and lock in a time.
What about emergencies after hours?
Outside your hours nobody is rung, so your evenings stay yours. You can brief your assistant on what to tell callers in an emergency, such as turning off the water at the meter, and it takes a message. The call alert lands in your email as soon as the call ends.
Does my own phone still ring?
Your choice. Forward every call and your assistant answers them all. Or forward only when you are busy, don't answer or have no signal: your phone rings first, and your assistant picks up the calls you miss.
What happens after hours?
Your assistant still answers, day and night, weekends included. Outside the hours you set, nobody's phone rings: it takes a proper message instead, ready for you in the morning.
How do minutes work?
Each call counts its length, rounded up to the next minute, including time spent on a transfer. Your plan's minutes reset every month, and extra minutes are charged at your plan's rate. Set a spending limit and you are never charged past it: once it is reached, your assistant keeps answering and taking short messages, but doesn't put calls through for the rest of the billing period. Those calls aren't charged. In the rare case they add up to a lot of minutes, your calls go straight to your first team member during business hours instead, so nobody is left unanswered.
